B Local Asheville + WNC hosts’ afternoon social to support B Corps & companies considering
B Corp certification

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (Aug. 21, 2019) – With its progressive culture and support for entrepreneurship, Western North Carolina has drawn a variety of certified B Corps – businesses certified in meeting rigorous standards for social and environmental sustainability. Over a dozen of these businesses, either locally operating or locally-based, B Corps have banded together to form B Local AVL + WNC, which aims to grow the values-led business community in our area through events, mentorship, and resource-sharing.

On Aug. 27 at 4:30 p.m., B Local AVL + WNC will host its first B Social event at French Broad Chocolates Cookie & Creamery. This afternoon social is open to all small business owners and operators interested in connecting with the group. Members will be on hand to discuss why certification has been the right fit for their companies and how they are fulfilling their commitments to sustainability, diversity, and community.

Whether you’re determining if B Corp certification is the right fit for your business, or if you are looking to talk shop with like-minded business leaders this is the networking event for you!
