Big Sea is a woman- and minority-owned marketing and web agency with offices in both Asheville and St. Petersburg, FL. For over two decades, we’ve worked almost exclusively with purpose-driven organizations: nonprofits, higher education, museums and cultural institutions, healthcare providers, and values-led businesses (like B Corps!).
Our team of 30+ handles brand strategy, website design and development, SEO, content, email and marketing automation, and paid media, including Google Ad Grants management for nonprofits. We’re a HubSpot Platinum Solutions Partner with the Nonprofit Industry Specialist certification, and our clients include B Lab, the Cancer Research Institute, The Recycling Partnership, RefugePoint, The Ringling Museum, Florida Atlantic University, the Computer History Museum, Volunteers of America, Mote Marine Laboratory, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, and Outright International (among so many more).
We certified as a B Corporation in October 2025 and we’re also a member of 1% for the Planet.
We became a B Corp because I wanted the proof to be on paper, not in a mission statement. We've spent over two decades choosing clients who are doing real good in the world, and certification means somebody outside of us checks whether we're living up to that. Every year. Business can be used for good, and we'd rather be measured on it than just say it.
