Get up to $500
If your Certified B Corp has fewer than 10 employees and certified or recertified within the last 90 days, B Local Asheville & WNC will reimburse your expenses up to $500.
Do you qualify?
Grants are available to B Corps that:
- Operate in Western North Carolina. Located here or doing business here.
- Have fewer than 10 employees.
- Certified or recertified within the last 90 days.
- Have not received this grant before. One per company.
If all four are true, we encourage you to apply. If you are close on the 90-day window or unsure whether your company counts as “operating” here, just ask us. We would rather answer a question than have you miss out on the grant.
What we reimburse
Reimbursement applies to specific costs of B Corp certification:
- B Lab certification fees. The fee paid directly to B Lab.
- Education. Costs for classes or training on B Corp certification.
- Consultant support. Payments made to a B Corp certification consultant.
To apply, complete the short application and upload receipts.
Application Review Process
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
We prioritize first time certifications over recertifications since our goal is to grow the number of B Corps in the region. Companies majority owned by people from underrepresented communities, including people who identify as BIPOC or LGBTQIA+, people living with a disability whether visible or invisible, and women receive funds first.
Applying does not guarantee a grant. While we have funds set aside, we may pause the program if money runs out.
